Bruce Pickett, Director of Counseling Services, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has worked at Advent since 1989. He has held positions in residential, outpatient, and counseling services as a clinician and supervisor. He grew up in San Jose and attended San Jose State University for his Child Development and Social Work degrees. Bruce is thrilled when working with a client who is discovering and growing as well as supervising new therapists to be the best they can be.

Michele loves helping people find the route cause of those stuck areas in their lives so that they can move forward and live out their God-given purpose.
She uses a combination of research-based approaches that are individually suited to your needs, such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Brainspotting therapy. This helps you deal with issues & brokenness that you may have experienced as traumatic or challenging. She has seen these therapies to have good results with a very wide range of issues – childhood abuse/trauma, lack of self-esteem, loss, addiction, depression, anxiety and more.

Jacqueline Di Giacomo has been married to the same man for more than 40 years, with whom she served in pastoral ministry for 35 years. Together, they are the parents of two adult male children. Jacqueline graduated Simpson University in 2012 with a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and began working at AGM during her traineeship in 2011. Of Advent Group Ministries, Jacqueline states, “AGM has my heart, as it is a place where those who are often marginalized in our society are welcomed and encouraged to find love, acceptance and recovery”. That is why she has returned to AGM more than once. Jacqueline serves AGM as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist.

Rachel is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor and has been working in the mental health profession for more than 2 years. Her commitment to the mental health profession is to meet each client where they are in their life struggle, provide empathy, collaborate with each client and guide them to achieve independence and competence to live a meaningful life by active listening to understand their thoughts, feelings, their presenting condition from their point of view, and collaboratively provide a tailored approach based on evidence-based therapeutic concepts.
Rachel has extensive experience working with school-age children and their families in school settings, youths in a residential treatment setting, adolescents, adults and families that have issues with mood disorders, conduct disorders, anxiety, depression, substance abuse and trauma-related disorders.

Cecilia is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who graduated from Capella University with honors. Before pursuing the field of mental health, she worked in business corporate for 25 years which allowed for her to possess a diverse set of interpersonal skills and life experiences. Cecilia’s greatest blessing, her pride and joy, are her three children whom she raised on her own. In her spare time, she likes to volunteer at churches, hospitals, and schools and advocate for the less privileged.
Cecilia has been providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups and demonstrated skills in creating and implementing effective treatment plans. One of her strengths is effectively building rapport with clients and she has a natural ability to listen, empathize, and show compassion.
Cecilia believes that if she can help even just one person, then she has made a difference.

Rachael is the Counseling secretary for the agency. She has a background serving families who experience Intimate Partner Violence. She has also worked in elder care and in the school district at schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
